Fundamental Study of Interregional Exchanges Viewed from Gateways for Tribute under the Tributary System of the Ming China

这一研究对于了解世纪末至17世纪世纪初明朝朝贡制度的框架是一项基础性工作。它以朝贡国使团必经的入贡门户为研究对象，以“外围”门户而非首都地区为考察重点，进行田野调查和文献考证。另外，以《朝贡案表》的统计研究为线索，对每一朝贡案进行透视，并尝试以《明实录》为基础编制朝贡案表。

This study is a fundamental work for understand the framework of the tributary system adopted by the Ming dynasty from the late 14th century to the early 17th century. It focused on gateways for tribute to the Ming, where missions dispatched by tributary states had to pass through, and conducted fieldwork and document investigation with central emphasis on these "peripheral" gateways rather than capital region. In addition, it focused on statistical studies for tables of tributary cases as a clue to put each tributary case into perspective, and tried to make the table of tributary cases based on Ming Shi-lu.
