Is the regional development policy in China effective?-From the viewpoint of polarization and spillover effects

在本研究中，我从两极分化和溢出效应的角度，明确了中国政府实施的区域发展战略对区域差距是否有效。构建了中国31个省份的区域间投入产出模型，实证结果表明，溢出效应大于极化效应。基于2008年4万亿元财政支出的模拟分析，区域差距会因外溢效应而缩小。

In this research, I made clarify whether the regional development strategy conducted by the Chinese government is effective or not for the regional disparity from the view point of polarization and spillover effect. I constructed the 31 provinces interregional input-output model for China and the empirical result shows that the spillover effect is larger than the polarization effect. And based on the simulation analysis of four trillion yuan fiscal expenditure in 2008, regional disparity would become small by the spillover effect.
