A qualitative study about expectation for life after retirement and community participation by males of the baby boom generation in Japanese regional cities

本研究的目的是定量地阐明男性在退休的风口浪尖上，他们如何想象退休后的生活和社会参与他们的社区。研究对象为（1）婴儿潮一代（2）2011年3月退休的10名男性。我们要求告诉我们他们对退休后生活的期望以及他们在社区中的社会参与。他们的想法分为四类：“我必须参加，因为我住在那里。“我不像退休前想象的那样参加。“我喜欢参加与我现在工作有关的活动。““我对与我相似的人的活动感兴趣。“对他们来说，建议建立一个将当地参与与工作联系起来的结构。

The purpose of this study is to clarify quantitatively about males on the cusp of retirement how they imagine the life after retirement and social participation in their communities. Research target were(1) Baby boom generation(2) 10 males with retirement in March 2011. We requested to tell us regarding their expectations for life after retirement and social participation in their communities. Their ideas were divided into four categories :"I have to participate because I live there." I don' t participate as I imagined before my retirement."I like to participate in the activity related to my present work.""I am interested in the activity of similar person with me." To them, the need of the structure which related local participation to working was suggested.
