项目摘要

おもに古代の文献史料を丹念に解読することで、中央、地方の両者の造営の技術者や造営体制、儀式などの建物の利用方法、さらには建てられた社会背景を描き出すことを目的とし、以下の成果をあげた。中央の造営体制について、『大日本古文書』を中心とした奈良時代の文献史料を用いて、令外官である造東大寺司の木工などの建築技術者とその技術力、さらには官の直接雇用ではない技術者について考察した。地方の造営体制について、六国史、類聚国史、日本紀略、類聚三代格、律令を解読し、地方の造営において、どのような技術者や労働者が従事していたかについて検討した。その結果について、日本建築学会2009年度学術講演大会において発表し、公開した。個別の国分寺の建物については創建年代の研究がなされてきたが、全国的に国分寺の造営の社会状況を捉えた研究は存在しない。そのため、全国的な造営計画がどのようになされたかということに焦点をしぼり、さらにその中で、国司が果たした役割や国司では対処しきれない問題が生じ、国師・郡司の協力が必要となってくる状況が読み取れた。そこから業務の内容および能力を考察した。具体的な建物の形態について、以下のような考察を行った。奈良時代の文献史料には、「双」という字を用いた建築が散見する。「双堂」「双倉」「双軒廊」といった具合である。しかしこの「双堂」「双倉」「双軒廊」といった「双」建築については、「双倉」正倉院正倉を対象にした論争と「双堂」について一部、考察されるものの、その多くは不明である。双堂を考察することは、仏堂の平面発展を考える上でも重要な意味を持っているため、「双」建築について考察した。また主に発掘史料を用いて、地方官衙の配置プランをもとに設計について考察し、地方官衙の前庭空間が内裏の朝庭空間に通じることを考察し、論文発表を行った。
