本年度の成果は主に次の3点である。(1)論文「自然主義と道徳--正宗白鳥の初期作品をめぐって」(『国文論叢』44号、2011年3月)を発表した。この論文は、初期の正宗白鳥の作品に着目しつつ、なぜ日露戦争後の数年間において自然主義文学が内面の表現をめぐって緊迫した展開を生み出したかを検討したものである。「何処へ」をはじめとした白鳥の作品は、臨場感にみちた内面の描き出しにおいて注目されており、白鳥自身もその表現にきわめて自覚的だった。こうした白鳥の表現は、日露戦争以前から騒々しい情勢を作りあげていく教育家および教育行政の動向を強く意識しつつ生み出されたものだった。本論は、同時代の多様な資料を用いつつこの点を明らかにした。(2)前年度に引き続き、高山樗牛の1900年代初めの評論活動に関する調査を行った。『太陽』『中央公論』『時代思潮』などの評論雑誌、『小天地』『文芸界』などの文学雑誌、『新声』『文庫』などの青年投稿雑誌を調査・検討した。この成果について遠からず論文にまとめたいと考えている。(3)明治中期の内村鑑三の著作活動に関する調査を行った。1890年代から1900年代にかけての複数の評論雑誌を調査し、多様な論者たちが内村について発言していたこと、さらに、『新声』『文庫』『校友会雑誌』など青年向けの雑誌のなかで内村への景慕を語る記事が多く存在することを確認した。こうした資料について分析をすすめ、近いうちに論文にまとめる予定である。

The results of this year are mainly from three points. (1)Paper "Naturalism and Tao--Authentic White Bird's Early Works"(Guo Wen Lun Cong, No. 44, March 2011) was published. In the early days, the works of authentic white birds were published, and in the years after the dispute, naturalistic literature was expressed internally. "Where is it?" White Bird's works are composed of two parts, namely, the sense of presence, the description of the inner surface, and the performance of the white bird itself. The performance of the white bird is contrary to the daily dew. The situation is not good. The educator and the educational administration are aware of the situation. This is the case with multiple data from the same era. (2)In the previous year, the survey was conducted on the review activities of the early 1900s. "Sun,""Central Public Comment,""Trend of the Times,""Small World,""Literary Circle,""New Voice,""Library,""Youth Contribution,""Survey," and "Investigation." The results of this study are as follows: (3)In the middle of Meiji period, the works of Kenzo Uchimura were investigated. From the 1890s to the 1900s, a number of comments were made on the history of the village, and many comments were made on the history of the village. This is the first time I've ever seen this.
