项目摘要

今年度は以下の三点に関して研究を行った。1.知覚経験の直接性に関する非存在対象を用いた分析:本研究では、知覚経験の内容を適切に記述するための形而上学的基礎としてマイノング的な非存在対象の理論を採用することで、いわゆる「幻覚論法」に応答を試みた。とりわけ、幻覚においては、主体はある非存在対象に気づいており、その幻覚の現象的性格はその非存在対象がもつ性質によって決定されると考えることで、幻覚論法の基本的な前提を維持しつつ、幻覚論法の帰結を回避できると論じた。2.内包的他動詞に対する不完全対象を用いた意味論の検討:本研究では、知覚経験の内容がもつ不確定性という特徴を、不完全対象という一種の非存在対象によって捉えることで、知覚動詞、さらには"seek"のような内包的他動詞一般に対する意味論的分析を与えることを試みた。とりわけこうした分析が、内包的他動詞の特定的読みと不特定的読みに共通する「弱化」推論の妥当性の説明に関して、MontagueのPTQにおける扱いを含む既存の理論に対して利点をもつと論じた。3.心的イメージの志向性に対する目的意味論的な分析:Prinzらが提唱する経験主義的な概念理論によれば、概念システムが用いる表象はどれも、基本的に、知覚システムが用いる表象の流用であり、サブパーソナルな知覚システム、意識的知覚、概念的思考のすべてを通じて、同じ知覚的表象が使用されている。本研究では、こうした表象がそもそもいかなるメカニズムで内容をもつのかを検討することで、サブパーソナルな認知処理システム、意識的知覚、概念的思考の連続性を捉える内容理論の構築を試みた。とりわけ、概念の主要な機能は、対象の探知と、対象に関するシミュレーションを行うことにある、というPrinzの提案に注目し、知覚的表象の志向性について、目的論的な提案をした。

This year, the following three aspects of research were carried out. 1.
