项目摘要

研究はI・カントの超越論的哲学の成立と発展を、想像力の概念史研究を軸として明らかにすることを目的としている。平成21年度の研究成果は、(a)1770年代のカントの講義ノートの整理と読解、(b)そうした作業にもとづく超越論的哲学の成立過程の精査であった。この成果に基づき、平成22年度の研究は「1780年以降の超越論的哲学の発展における想像力の役割の明確化」を目的として遂行された。研究方法として採用されたのは、「『実践理性批判』ならびに『判断力批判』から想像力をめぐる記述を精査し、それが『純粋理性批判』の想像力の理論と比較していかなる変化を遂げているかを明らかにする」ことである。以上の研究目的・研究方法のもと、具体的には以下のような研究がなされた。まず、「覚知」という働きがバウムガルテン美学に由来していることを文献調査によって示し、後期批判期において、カントが理論的な「総合」とは根本的に異なる活動に照明をあてていることを立証したのである。このような研究は『判断力批判』における「構想力の自由」と「形式主義」の両立可能性を示すのみならず、構想力の活動を批判期以前におけるバウムガルテン受容から、後期批判期における美学理論に至る発展的理論として提示することに成功した。そして、悟性の概念的規定から独立した構想力の「覚知」は、同様に悟性から独立して「表出」される美的理念の理論へ、そしてそのような理論によって示される道徳論へ、申請者の今後の研究を導くことになった。
