项目摘要

本研究の目的は、「不可能なもの」をめぐるサルトルの思想を、従来の解釈には還元されない、一つの思想体系として統一的に取り出すことである。目的達成のための具体的作業として、本年度は、【1】『弁証法的理性批判』(1960)精読を通じ、芸術家による「不可能なもの」の選択が「実存」および「歴史」の証言へと転換する様態を構造的に説明する、【2】『家の馬鹿息子』(1971,2)読解を中心に、芸術作品による「証言」の構造を文学的コミュニケーションとして跡付ける、という二つの作業に取り組んだ。【1】「実践的惰性態」についての議論を中心に『批判』読解を進め、この時期から主題的な仕方で用いられるようになる「了解(comprehension)」概念を補助的に用いることで、芸術による「証言」の構造を整合的に説明可能であるとの結論を導くことができた。具体的には、芸術家の投企が前提としている実存および歴史の了解が、実践的惰性態としての言語に書き込まれる結果、芸術家の投企としての作品創造において、実存と歴史が非主題的な形で芸術作品に反映される過程を理論化することができた。これにより、実践的惰性態を介した「証言」をめぐるサルトルの思想を、体系的な仕方で取り出すことができた。【2】前年の分析を通じて取り出した「不可能なもの」の概念に着目しつつ、『馬鹿息子』を中心とする伝記的批評読解を進めた。とくに、『存在と無』における「言語」についての議論を、「コミュニケーションの不可能性」と読み替えることで、言語作品と他者についての問題系を、サルトルにおける「文学的コミュニケーション」の概念として取り出す作業を行った。その結果、サルトルに伝記的批評に見られる文学的コミュニケーションの思想が、言語の物質性を通じてなされる、文学作品に固有なコミュニケーションであることを確認することができた。
