We verified the osteogenic potential of umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stromal cells (UC-MSCs). There was a difference in osteogenic potential of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stromal cells (BM-MSCs) and that of UC-MSCs. I confirmed that a BM-MSCs was superior to UC-MSCs in osteogenic potential.
