项目摘要

前年度に引き続き、以下の3つの研究を行った。1)本研究の意義・方法論的特色の位置づけをより明確化するために、宗教と社会活動に関する研究の最前線であるアメリカの実証的先行研究を対象に、その理論と方法論を検討し、限界と課題を検討した。論文の抽出と内容の鳥瞰は前年度で終えていたため、本年度は、コーディング作業とその結果のまとめを行った。2)前年度に引き続き全国規模のサンプリングデータの計量分析を行った。本年度で使用したデータは、JGSS,世界価値観調査(第2回、第4回)である。おおよその知見としては、現代日本でも宗教団体所属者や宗教的価値観の保持者は社会活動参加・集団所属の傾向があること、特に伝統仏教にも関連が見られること、欧米の宗教研究で支持されている「宗教ネットワーク効果」が日本においても見出される可能性があることなどが明らかになった。3)これまでに行ってきた宗教者・宗教施設の社会活動の研究を再検討し、上記1)の実証分析と。特に、宗教施設を通じての信者・檀家の社会活動への動員プロセス、宗教施設が社会活動を行う前提として不可欠な地域社会との関係性に焦点を当てながら、社会活動への参加を促す場としての宗教施設の役割を検討した。研究成果の公表としては、査読付論文(印刷中も含む)が4本(そのうち国際学会誌が1本、英語論文(共著)が1本)、査読無論文が1本、著書が1本(近刊)、合計6本の論文を公表した。学会発表は、国際学会が2回(そのうち1つは査読付)、国内学会が1回、合計3回の学会発表を行った(いずれも口頭発表)。そして以上の成果をまとめて、博士論文を提出し、無事受理された。

The above results are not accepted, the doctoral thesis is submitted, and the application is accepted without incident.
