项目摘要

現代語には,物の授受を表す授受表現(「やる」「くれる」など),および恩恵の授受をあらわす(「-てやる」「-てくれる」など)の受益表現がみられる。これらの語彙は中世末期ごろから文献にあらわれるが,一方で古代語では敬語語彙が活発に用いられる。本研究は日本語の談話運用が,敬語中心の運用から授受・受益中心の運用へ,より話し手中心の言語運用がなされるようになった歴史的変化を捉え,その経緯や動機を明らかにする。具体的には,行為指示表現(依頼,命令等)や申し出表現といった言語行動の場面に敬語や授受・受益表現がどのように用いられているかを調査した。本年度は,以下の4点を行った。1文献調査:歴史的変化を述べるうえでは,まず歴史的にみられる資料によって授受動詞や敬語の運用について,調査がなされなければならない。本年は特に変化の進行段階にあたる近世期が重要であるので,近世期の資料(狂言台本『大蔵虎明本狂言』や浄瑠璃資料(近松門左衛門作品)を中心として,調査を行った。2方言調査:言語運用を調査していく上では,話者がどのような意識のもとそれぞれの形式を用いているかを調べることが重要である。しかし,文献からだけでは当時の言語運用の実態を完全には解明できない。本年度は,富山県南砺市五箇山地方,鹿児島県瀬戸内町(奄美大島加計呂麻島)のデータを収集し,日本語のさまざまな方言の考察を通して,当地の言語運用を観察し,古典語のデータの裏付けを進めた。3学会発表:研究成果を公表するため,学会発表を行った。本年度は土曜ことばの会(4月),筑紫日本語研究会(2月)等で発表を行い,意見を請うことができた。4論文発表:研究成果を公表するため,論文発表を行った。
