项目摘要

2010年8月末より2011年3月末まで、ハーヴァード大学比較文学科に客員研究員として在籍し、デイヴィッド・ダムロッシュ教授「世界文学」についての研究を行った。また、ダムロッシュの主著『世界文学とは何か?』を共訳した(国書刊行会、2011年4月刊行予定)。世界文学の視点からの研究としては、アメリカ比較文学会(ACLA)2011年年次大会において、「Tape-Recorder As a Medium of Narrating Trauma」と題して口頭発表を行い、ダヴィド・アルバハリの『餌』と大江健三郎の『取り替え子』が時代の異なる二つのトラウマを重ねることで個人的な記憶と歴史的な記憶を同時に語っていく手法を比較検討した。こうした世界文学という大きな枠組みについての把握に努めつつ、今年度は、北米で活動する旧ユーゴスラヴィアの亡命作家を中心とした研究を行い、論文「東欧の文学的ディアスポラ」としてまとめた。1990年代以降の旧ユーゴスラヴィアの亡命作家についての研究成果は、申請課題である「1980年代の東欧亡命作家のヨーロッパ表象」について、東欧革命直前という時代、ヨーロッパという場所が持つ意味を考えるうえで、重要となった。また、亡命という状況が、時代・場所を超えて共通性をもちうること、時代・場所を共有していても多様性をもちうることが明らかになった。今年度の研究でえた比較軸をもとに、1980年代のヨーロッパにおける亡命の多様性と共通性についての考察をさらに深めることが今後の研究課題である。
