The needs of information and nursing intervention among acute myocardial infrarction patients

To clarify the medical information required by patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and the contents of nursing intervention for information provision, we performed a qualitative study of the information that patients with undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for AMI consider necessary along with the nursing intervention for information provision. With a questionnaire survey, we statistically compared the information required by post-PCI and post-CABG patients and the nursing intervention. Furthermore, to clarify the information that nurses consider necessary to provide to patients with AMI and the contents of nursing intervention for information provision, we performed a qualitative study with a statistical comparison with a questionnaire survey for the information required by post-PCI and post-CABG patients and the nursing intervention for information provision.
