Basic Study on the Pre-modern Chinese Judicial System, mainly in Tang Dynasty

本研究的目的是将《唐律疏议》翻译成日文，并通过与其他朝代司法制度的比较来研究唐代司法制度。作为研究的结果，我们完成了《断语录》全文的翻译，并对唐代司法制度的一些重要问题进行了澄清，如《断语录》第16条的立法目的、《断语录》第20条毕赋的含义等。

This research aims to translate "Tanglue-shuyi" or "Tang penal code and commentary" into Japanese, which was originally the work Professor Shuzo Shiga set about, and to study Tang judicial system through comparing it with judicial systems in other dynasties which research members are majoring in. As the result of our research , we have accomplished the translation of whole articles in Duanyu-lue, and have cleared some important points concerning judicial systems in Tang dynasty, such as the legislative purpose of Duanyu-lue section 16, and the meaning of Bifu in Duanyu-lue section 20.
