A Study on the Visual Usability in Interface Design

本研究的目的在于探讨构成产品外观的“视觉认知因素”的属性，如何影响消费者对产品“视觉可用性”的第一印象。我们的研究对象是老年消费者和年轻人。结果表明，两组学生在影响视觉可用性的“视觉认知因素“方面的特征基本相似，但在“简单性”、“熟悉性”、“一致性”和“强调功能性”方面具有优势。

The purpose of this study is to find how the properties of “Visual Cognition Factors” as the factors that comprise the appearances of the products influence“Visual Usability” as the first impressions of user-friendliness of consumers . The subjects of our study were elderly consumers and young adults. Results showed that properties of “Visual Cognition Factors “that influenced “Visual Usability” were almost similar for both groups, and the properties such as“Simplicity”, ”Familiarity”, ”Conformity” and “Emphasizing the functions” were advantage.
