Quantitative analysis of cerebral neuronal injury induced by impact strain loading

外伤性脑损伤与脑组织快速变形导致神经轴突拉伸有关。在本研究中，通过微加工技术控制神经突的伸长，定量分析神经损伤。结果表明，损伤程度与沿神经突延伸方向的应变大小相关，且沿应变方向取向的神经突损伤率高于随机取向的神经突。

Traumatic brain injury is associated with rapid deformation of brain tissue resulting in the stretching of neural axons. In this study, the elongation of neurite was controlled by microfabrication technique for quantitative analysis of neuronal injury. We demonstrated that the degree of injury was correlated with the magnitude of strain along neurite elongation and the rate of injury was higher in neurites oriented in the direction of strain than in neurites oriented in a random pattern.
