動作イメージを用いた片麻痺患者の動作学習方法を確立する目的で、本年度は自身の動作能力をイメージ想起する能力は加齢による影響を受けるか検討した。動作課題にはリーチ動作を取り上げ、実際に右手でリーチ可能な最大距離(実測距離)とイメージ上でリーチ可能と判断する最大距離(イメージ距離)を測定し、両者の差からイメージ誤差距離を算出した。リーチ動作は、単純リーチ動作と、把持を目的としたリーチ動作(操作目的リーチ)の2つとした。対象は、健常若年者18名と健常高齢者10名とした。測定は椅子座位で行い、リーチ方向は、机上の体幹正中線を90度、机の手前の縁の右側を0度、左側を180度とし、30度刻みで7方向を設定した。若年者では単純リーチの0度と180度、操作目的リーチの180度でイメージ距離と実測距離の間に有意差がみられた。高齢者では、単純リーチの0、30、150、180度、操作目的リーチの30、90、120、150、180度で両者の距離に有意差が認められた。イメージ誤差距離は、単純リーチではいずれの方向においても若年者と高齢者との間に有意な差は認められなかったが、操作目的リーチでは60、120、150、180度で高齢者の誤差の方が有意に大きくなった。また、若年者では単純・操作目的リーチともに0度と180度でやや誤差が大きくなる傾向がみられたが、その差は他の方向に比較して有意ではなかった。これに対し、高齢者では両リーチとも体幹正中線上から離れるにつれて次第に誤差が大きくなり、単純リーチでは60、150、180度で、操作目的リーチでは150、180度で、90度に比較して誤差が有意に大きくなった。以上より、実際の動作能力とイメージ上の動作能力との差は加齢により増加すること、加齢による影響はより複雑な動作課題ほど、あるいは、運動面が体幹正中から外側に離れるほど顕著に現れることが明らかとなった。
