Research on a novel selective androgen receptor modulator, S42 for the development of life-related drug.

我们研究了我们已经鉴定的SARM（选择性雄激素受体调节剂）化合物S42是否可以使用喂食高脂饮食（FAD）的雄性小鼠模型对肥胖和葡萄糖耐量具有一些有益的作用。在喂饲HFD的去势雄性小鼠中，给予DHT加重了HFD诱导的内脏肥胖、葡萄糖耐受不良和脂肪肝。然而，S42给药未观察到此类恶化。在未去势的雄性小鼠中，S42本身可以表现出有益的作用，包括减少体脂等。S42可以成为开发生命相关疾病创新药物的良好候选化学品。

We examined whether a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator) compound, S42 which we had identified, could have some beneficial effect on obesity and glucose tolerance using male mouse model fed high fat diet (FAD). In castrated male mice fed HFD, DHT administration aggravated the HFD-induced visceral obesity, glucose intolerance and fatty liver. However, such aggravation was not observed with S42 administration. In non-castrated male mice fed HFD, S42 itself could manifest beneficial effects including the decrease of the body fat etc. S42 could be a good candidate chemical for developing innovative drugs for life-related diseases.
