Pre-clinical study on pulmonary perfusion preservation using modified ET-Kyoto solutions

本研究采用大鼠和犬离体肺灌注模型评价了连续灌注对肺保存的影响，旨在探讨改良ET-K液作为灌注液的临床应用。无论是低钾ET-K还是不含羟乙基淀粉的ET-K均未显示出足够的肺保护，可用于可靠的临床实践。此外，向灌注溶液中补充红细胞也未能显示出任何显著的保存效果改善。临床应用需要进一步的广泛修改。

We evaluated the effects of continuous perfusion on pulmonary preservation using a rat and a dog ex vivo perfusion models aiming at clinical application of modified ET-K solution as a perfusate. Neither a potassium-reduced ET-K nor an ET-K without HES demonstrated sufficient pulmonary preservation for reliable clinical practice. In addition, supplementation with red blood cells to the perfusion solution also failed to show any significant improvements of the preservation effect. A further extensive modification is needed for the clinical application.
