Estimation of health status by exhaled gas analysis

本文对992例成人呼出气、肠易激综合征（IBS）、中性粒细胞功能与生活方式的关系进行了调查。1. IBS组-与正常组、IBS伴便秘或IBS伴腹泻和便秘的雌性相比，在IBS-D（IBS伴腹泻）雌性中观察到显著高水平的呼出氢浓度。2.在两种性别中观察到血清调理素活性（鲁米诺依赖性化学发光）和呼出的一氧化碳之间呈负相关。此外，女性的血清调理素活性（光泽精依赖性化学发光）与呼出的一氧化碳呈正相关。3.呼出一氧化碳与年龄、体重指数、饮酒量、运动习惯的相关性均不显著。因此，呼出气体与疾病、健康状况和生活方式之间存在一定的关系。

Following results were obtained from the investigation between exhaled gas, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), neutrophil functions and lifestyles among 992 adults. 1. IBS group - significantly high level of exhaled hydrogen concentration was observed in females with IBS-D (IBS with diarrhea) compared with females in normal group, IBS with constipation or IBS with both diarrhea and constipation. 2. Negative correlations were observed between serum opsonic activity (Luminol-dependent chemiluminescence) and exhaled carbon monoxide in both genders. In addition, positive correlation was observed between serum opsonic activity (Lucigenin-dependent chemiluminescence) and exhaled carbon monoxide in females. 3. As for the association between exhaled carbon monoxide and age, BMI, the amount of alcohol consumption and exercise habit, no significant correlations were observed in any items. Therefore, certain relationships were found between exhaled gas and diseases, health status and lifestyle.
