Resource Development and Human Security

本研究旨在通过对资源开发的目的、目标、手段、规模和速度的研究，阐明资源开发对自然和社会文化环境的影响。具体而言，对蒙古的矿产资源开发和尼日利亚、贝宁的有机农业发展进行了比较研究，以明确可持续发展的前提条件，可持续发展是人类安全面临的重要挑战。研究的主要结论是，依赖于当地资源循环利用的有机农业的发展是按照保护自然环境的原则进行的，如果没有制度上的监管，地下资源的开发将加速环境的破坏。

This research aimed at clarifying the influence of resource development on natural and socio-cultural environments by focusing on the purpose, the target, the means, the size, and the speed of development. Specifically the development of mineral resources in Mongolia and the development of organic agriculture in Nigeria and Benin were studied comparatively in order to make clear prerequisites of sustainable development which is an important challenge of human security.The main findings of the research include that the development of organic agriculture which depends on the recycling of local resources is done in accordance with the preservation of natural environment and that the development of underground resources would accelerate the environmental destruction if there is no institutional regulation.
