Sesquiterpenoide und andere biologisch aktive Marker-Verbindungen in bulgarischen Achillea-millefolium-Arten

本项目的目的是对民间医学中使用的保加利亚千叶蓍属植物进行植物化学比较研究，以确定其主要生物活性成分并阐明未知化合物的结构。特别注意倍半萜内酯，因为它们被认为是蓍草中的活性成分。含内酯的组分将使用现代色谱技术进行分离，单个化合物将用光谱方法进行表征。还将从化学和生物学的角度对总植物提取物中极性较低的部分进行研究。推荐原唑烯含量最高、生物活性显著的植物品种进行栽培。

The purpose of this project is a comparative phytochemical study of the Bulgarian plant species of Achillea millefolium group (yarrow) used in folk medicine, with the view of identifying the main biologically active components and elucidating the structure of the unknown compounds. A special attention will be paid on the sesquiterpene lactones, as they are recognized to be the active principles in yarrow. The lactone-containing fractions will be submitted to separation using modern chromatographic techniques, and the individual compounds will be characterized by spectroscopic methods. The less polar fractions of the total plant extracts will be also investigated from both chemical and biological point of view. The plant species with the highest content of proazulenes and significant biological activity will be recommended for cultivation.
