ベイズ統計学の方法を、ミクロ経済の分析に応用する研究を進めた。これらの研究によって、最新の経済理論に基づく複雑な統計モデルを解析することが可能になり、計量経済学の方法論・実証ミクロ経済学の応用分野の両方に貢献が出来たものと自己評価している。また、下記のように論文の投稿と学会発表を積極的に行い、研究成果のアウトプットを広くアピールした。まず、昨年度から既に投稿済みであった論文"Bayesian Estimation of Entry Games with Application to Japanese Airline Data"については、査読付き雑誌であるJapanese Economic Review Vol.63に掲載された。また、契約理論に基づく保険の購買行動の分析について、アメリカの歯科保険市場においてモラル・ハザードと同時にadvantageous selection(逆選択の逆の消費者行動)が見られることを示した論文"An Econometric Analysis of Insurance Markets with Separate Identification for Moral Hazard and Selection Problems"を執筆し、Journal of Business and Economic Statisticsに投稿した。この研究に関しては首都大学東京でのセミナー招待講演と、国際学会Asian Meeting o fEconometric Societyでの発表を行った。さらに、日本の有料老人ホームに関して、ノンパラメトリックベイズ予測によって入居金制度を分析する研究をまとめ、"A nonparametric Bayesian approach for counterfactual prediction with an application to the Japanese private nursing home market"を行い、International Economic Reviewに投稿した。また、この研究については国際学会International Society of Bayesian Analysis Meetingや日本経済学会春季大会、統計関連学会連合大会などで発表を行った。当該研究は、日本の介護産業における経済慣行が、消費者に過大な支出を強いていることを示したものであり、高齢者介護予算が逼迫する現在においてはこの廃止が有効な政策であることを示唆した研究である。
