「権威主義体制と『単一政党優位』の時代の政党政治」という研究課題の下、本年度は「単一政党優位」という現象が権威主義体制諸国の民主化に与える効果を統計分析によって解明した論文を公表したのに加え、同論文に関連し、本年度一年かけて「単一政党優位の時代における権威主義体制：エジプト第一共和政の政党政治の制度分析」と題する博士論文を執筆した（2015年6月に慶應義塾大学法学研究科に提出し、2016年3月までに学位取得見込みである）。同論文は、制度分析に基づく比較権威主義体制論の観点から、権威主義体制下の単一政党優位の確立と、確立後に見られる与野党間の角逐と協力、そして、崩壊後の政党システムの変化を論じる。単一政党優位とは、複数政党選挙が実施されている状況において、単一の与党が少なくとも連立与党の中心として長期間に渡って全国レベルの執政府を支配するという状態を指す。このような事例は、世界中の様々な権威主義体制に見て取ることができる。それでは、権威主義体制下の単一政党優位はどのような条件下で確立するのか。単一政党優位という政党システムの下ではどのような与野党間の角逐と協力が見られ、その振る舞いはどのような条件に規定されるのか。これが博士論文の大枠の問いである。第1章では上記の博士論文全体の問いとその問いに答えるためにエジプトの権威主義体制の事例に着目する意義を論じる。第2章では単一政党優位が論理的に生じうる事例群を設定し、政治体制の時代的趨勢と理論的系譜を追う。第3章では権威主義体制における単一政党優位の確立過程、第4章では単一政党優位が体制変動に与える因果効果、第5章では単一政党優位が確立した状況における与野党間の合意形成の効果、第6章では単一政党優位が確立した状況における野党勢力の選挙前連合の形成、第7章では単一政党優位崩壊後の政党システムの変化を順次論じる。
