项目摘要

本研究の目的は、農村民主化過程を(A)女性の主観的な欲求にもとづく運動と、(B)それを動員する政策や社会的要請の両面から分析することである。本年度は(B)の研究を中心に行った。昨年度中に京都府北部の旧熊野郡を事例地に選定し、予備調査と基礎的な行政文書の収集を行っていた。今年度は本格的にフィールド調査を進め、1950-60年代の主要な農村女性政策であった生活改善普及事業、社会教育政策(公民館活動、婦人学級、地域婦人会など)についての調査を行った。具体的には農協婦人部事業、同地域の元社会教育職員、元婦人会長、元農協職員、元生活改善普及員、元保健婦らにききとり調査を行い、京都府立総合資料館、国立国会図書館において資料収集を行った。以上をもとに分析を進め、以下の2点を明らかにした。(1)1950-60年代に農村女性を対象に展開された生活改善普及事業、社会教育政策、農協婦人部活動のそれぞれが、異なる理念を持って開始されながら類似した活動内容で農村女性に働きかけていたこと。(2)それぞれの政策の理念の違いは、1960年代になると、食や生活に関する事柄に活動内容が限定されるというジェンダー規範に基づいた偏りが共通してみられたこと。これらをまとめ、2013年8月23日～9月2日にかけてイギリスのシェフィールド大学で行われたInternational Conference "Women's Histories : The Local and the Global "International Federation for Research in Women's Historyにおいて口頭報告を行った。既存の女性史研究では、母、労働者、上流階級のフェミニストなどを主要テーマとしてきたなかで、農村の女性、生産者としての女性に着目した本報告への反響は大きく、また欧米の女性史を牽引してきた研究者との交流はとても基調な経験となった。

The purpose of this study is to explore the process of villagers' ownership. (a) the desire of female employers, (B) the policy of social workers, and the analysis of social policy. This year, the (B) Research Center is in charge of the project. In the middle of last year, the case of the old Kumano prefecture in the north of the capital was selected and the collection of administrative documents was selected.
