项目摘要

本研究は、「比較映画史研究―1910年代における反古典的映画形式の形成と展開―」という研究課題のもと、各国の映画産業が整い、国際的な映画市場への進出という産業的な背景を持つなか、1910年代のヨーロッパおよび日本の映画史において、画一的であったプリミティヴな映画形式から脱皮し、各国が独自のナショナル・アイデンティティを伴う製品としての映画、もしくは特定の芸術潮流に関連付けられた映画を確立していく様相を明らかにした。初期映画が終焉を迎えてから、1910年代末に国際的にドミナントな古典的ハリウッド映画形式が席巻していくまでの、この10年間の映画形式をめぐる問題を、比較映画史学という独自の研究方法によって検討した。1910年代の無声映画移行期では、輸入された他国の映画形式から多大な影響を受けながらも、各国が国産の映画産業を充実させていき、映画形式も国別に細分化され、実に多様なナショナル映画形式が育まれていった。したがって、当時の主要な映画産業国であったフランス、ドイツ、ロシア、イタリア、デンマーク、そして日本の各々のナショナル映画形式を検証する必要があった。報告者は各国を代表するスタイリストと呼ばれる監督(Lブイヤード、M.マック、Eバウエル、Gパストローネ)を採り上げ、各国のナショナル映画の形式的特徴の分類と図式化を再検討することでより徹底化した。本研究の成果は、博士論文「1910年代の比較映画史研究―初期映画から古典的映画への移行期における映画形式の形成と展開―」の一部としてまとめられ、早稲田大学に受理された。

This study is aimed at "Comparative Film History Research-Formation and Development of Anti-Classical Film Forms in the 1910s", a research topic on the background of the film industry in various countries, the international film market, and the history of Japanese film in the 1910s. Each country has its own unique characteristics, such as product quality, technology trends, and image quality. The early stage of photography was finally completed. The international photography style in the late 1910s was completely different. The photography style in the past 10 years was different. The comparative photography history was studied independently. During the 1910s, the transition period of silent photography was influenced by the influence of foreign countries on the development of domestic photography industry, the subdivision of national photography forms, and the diversification of photography forms. It is necessary to examine the forms of photography in Japan's major photographic industries at that time. The reporter has reviewed the classification and formulation of the characteristics of the form of the national image on behalf of the national representative. The results of this research are part of the doctoral thesis "A Study of Comparative Picture History in the 1910s: The Transition Period from Early Picture to Classical Picture, the Formation and Development of Picture Forms," which was accepted by Waseda University.
