2012年に刊行した拙著『「ゲイコミュニティ」の社会学』への新ヶ江章友氏の書評に対するリプライを執筆した (「新ヶ江章友氏の書評に対するリプライ」『論争クィア』7: 81-89.)。また、拙著中のタチ／ネコという題材に関して、後述のゲイ男性向けポルノグラフィの研究とも絡めながら、方法論的意義の検討を中心に論文を執筆した(「言語実践に着目したセクシュアリティ研究へ向けて――ゲイ男性が用いるタチ／ネコ、タチ／ウケという用語系に着目して」『ことばと社会』16: 86-109.)。ここからさらに派生し、拙著ではかなり大づかみにしか捉えることのできなかった、ゲイ男性の性的欲望のありようにさらに迫ってみたいと考え、カップリング形成の観点から論じた(「「二丁目に捨てるゴミ無し」と人は言うけれど、」『ユリイカ』46(10): 246-253.)。より踏み込んだ実証研究を志向し、ポルノグラフィの分析に着手した。「生物学的性差」の流用という観点 ( ‘Osu / mesu (male / female) representation in Japanese gay pornographyA case study on the appropriation of "biological" sexes’(口頭発表) The Asian Studies Conference Japan 2014、上智大学)、ミソジニーという観点(「ゲイ男性のミソジニー？──ゲイ男性向けポルノグラフィにおける「女性」表象」（口頭発表）第87回日本社会学会、神戸大学)からまとめた。2015年度に論文化予定である。拙著での中心的なテーマである「親密な関係性の社会への位置づけ」という問題について、同性愛に固有の対象でありつつその「外」へのインプリケーションを持つ題材として、同性婚の問題をとりあげ、考察をはじめた。
