It provides a new opportunity to re-analyze sporadic Creutzfedlt-jakob disease patients with the 129V/V genotype in countries with bovine spongiform encephalopathy and variant Creutzfedlt-jakob disease, particularly in cases with atypical clinical and neuropathological features.
