Digital libraries which store academic papers require some techniques for automatic extraction of bibliographic and other information from the papers. This study proposed a method of automatically extracting bibliographic information from OCRed document images of title pages of academic papers and from reference strings listed at the end of papers by using a conditional random field (CRF). This study also proposed a recommendation service of related papers using the technical terms extracted from academic papers and investigated ways to support online-browsing of academic papers using tablet PCs.

存储学术论文的数字图书馆需要一些技术来自动从论文中提取书目和其他信息。本研究提出了一种使用条件随机场（CRF）从学术论文标题页的OCRed文档图像和论文末尾列出的参考字符串中自动提取书目信息的方法。本研究还提出了使用从学术论文中提取的技术术语进行相关论文的推荐服务，并研究了支持使用平板电脑在线浏览学术论文的方法。
