The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and formation of Asvaghosa's Buddhacarita and other similar texts that temporally describe the life story of the Buddha. To do so, we compared the arrangement of these texts as well as sculptures from Northwest India (held to be where Buddhacarita was created), and found that they have structural similarities. Therefore, there is the possibility that such biographies of Sakyamuni were influenced by views of him particular to the area.

这项研究的目的是考察阿斯瓦霍萨的《佛陀》和其他类似的文本的特点和形成，这些文本在时间上描述了佛陀的生平故事。为此，我们比较了这些文本的排列以及来自印度西北部(被认为是创作佛陀的地方)的雕塑，发现它们在结构上有相似之处。因此，有可能释迦牟尼的传记受到了他对该地区的特殊看法的影响。
