所有的模型系统都是通过电纺聚合物来实现的,其中包括由Schwerpunktsprogramm(Greiner,Wehrspohn,Wendorff)的Gruppen(Gruppen)生产的聚合物纳米管(Polymer韦尔登)。
The Low Energy Electron Point Source (LEEPS) microscope is a novel instrument for the characterization of structural, electrical and mechanical properties of single molecules and nanostructures. In the proposed project, we develop procedures to employ LEEPS as a tool for the characterization of structural, mechanical, electric and magnetic properties nanotubes and nanowires. As test object, we examine electrospun polymer nanowires and TUFT and WASTE polymer nanotubes provided by groups from the priority program (Greiner, Wehrspohn, Wendorff). The LEEPS microscope is utilized for holographic imaging to characterize the structure and electrostatic charge that is present on - adequately prepared - individual nanotubes and nanowires. The electrical conductance through individual tubes is measured with the point source as a movable electrode. The obtained I-V curves are then related to structural features that have been determined by imaging distinct individual tubes. Point source are capable of mechanical manipulation on individual tubes and it is intended to explore the characterization of elastic properties of individual tubes.
