项目摘要

本年度は20世紀において最も重要な音楽技法である十二音技法についての研究を行った。この音楽技法はアーノルト・シェーンベルクによって考案されたのち、その弟子たちによって使用され、その後も第二次世界大戦後の音楽語法の土台として機能することとなった。本年度はまずアントン・ウェーベルンについての研究を行った。その際とりわけ彼がどのように十二音技法を導入したのかを明らかにするために、彼が十二音技法を導入する以前に作曲していた作品をスケッチや自筆譜資料をもとに考察した。とりわけ作曲プロセスの解明をその際主眼点とした。研究を進めた結果、彼が十二技法を導入する直前の音楽語法が、後の十二音技法の扱いにも重要な影響を与えていることが判明した。されに彼が十二音技法を導入する以前に抱えていた問題を、弦楽四重奏曲のフラグメントをもとに明らかにした。この成果はドイツのトップジャーナルであるMusikforschungに掲載され、掲載直後から反響を呼んでいる。ウェーベルンとは別に、カールハインツ・シュトックハウゼンについても研究を行った。シュトックハウゼンはとりわけ十二音技法をさらに推し進めるとともに、それを電子音楽の作曲の土台とした点で新たな音楽の領域を切り開いた作曲家である。本年度は彼の初期電子音楽の創作プロセスの解明もあわせて行った。とりわけ習作一および習作二の創作スケッチを閲覧することで、彼がどのように電子音楽を創作しようとしていたのかを考察した。この研究成果はまだ刊行物にはなっていないが、次年度中には何らかの形で発表したいと考えている。全体として有意義な研究ができた一年であった。
