项目摘要

乳幼児の言語発達には養育者からの言語入力が大きな影響を与えると考えられている。養育者が乳幼児向けに話すときに使われるInfant-Directed Speech（IDS）は、ゆっくりと、誇張した表現で、育児語やオノマトペを多用するという傾向があることが知られている。本研究では、IDSで頻繁に使用されるオノマトペを乳幼児がどのように理解、獲得するのかを明らかにすることを目的とした。採用第3年度は、言語獲得期の乳児におけるオノマトペの理解に関して、触覚オノマトペの理解に触経験が与える影響の検討を行った。触覚オノマトペの直感的な理解の可能性がありつつも、明確な理解を示していない言語獲得初期の12ヵ月児を対象に検討を行ったところ、触経験の影響は特に見られなかった。また、乳幼児の語彙学習に与える言語入力の影響を明確化するため、発話分析を行うことで、日本人養育者におけるInfant-Directed Speech(IDS)の特徴を検討したところ、養育者によるオノマトペや育児語の使用は子どもが2歳から3歳の間に減少し、成人語の使用が増えることが分かった。さらに、オノマトペ使用に関しては、使用のされ方（名詞、動詞、+する、副詞）によってもその発達的変化が異なることが分かった。さらに、養育者のIDSの使用に、乳幼児の言語獲得への足場かけ的側面があることを鑑みると、乳幼児が、オノマトペ等を含むIDSがどのような場面で使われるかを認識することは、自身の言語学習にプラスに働くと考えられる。幼児を対象に、聞き手に不適切な話し方をすることの社会的意味の理解を検討したところ、不適切な話し方の選択が不快感を与えることは、7歳児ごろまで待たなければ理解が見られず、IDS等の話し方の選択の意味の理解には比較的時間がかかることが示唆された。
