玄奘訳にのみ伝承されるバーヴィヴェーカ（清弁）作の『大乗掌珍論』は、その重要性にも関わらず、漢訳にやや難があることと、独自の論法を用いて初期のインド哲学諸学派の学説を含む多岐に及ぶ論題を扱うこともあって、本格的な研究が待たれる状況にあった。また、私が日本において当該研究を遂行することの意義として、研究対象となる玄奘訳『大乗掌珍論』（2巻）の写本が、日本の奈良・平安時代の古写経にのみ伝承されているという点は重要であった。2年間の研究期間内に、関連写本の調査および複写による入手、定期的な研究会の開催、国内外の関連学会、ワークショップでの口頭発表、および内外の学術雑誌において研究成果の一部を公にした。この間に私が公刊した成果は、英語論文3本、日本語論文2本、中国語論文5本である。研究期間中の2015年9月に、浙江大学人文学院・教授に採用され、それまでの中国社会科学院（専任研究員）から所属を移した。2016年10月22-23日には、同大学の佛教資源与研究中心(BBRC)の責任者として、Harvard大学および同大学・燕京研究所との共催で、International Conference on Recent Trends in Buddhist Researchと題する学会を、ドイツ、オーストリア、アメリカ合衆国、日本、中国、インドの各地から、総勢16名の仏教研究者を招聘して開催した。H28年度に所属した国際仏教学大学院大学では、「仏教学特殊研究」の授業において、「陳那の名称をめぐって」と題する研究成果の発表を行うとともに、同大学紀要第20号（2017.3）に当該題目の論文を発表した。また、同大学附置の日本古写経研究所蔵の古写経（複写）をも用いて、『大乗掌珍論』の校訂本を作成した。この成果は、本年度の同研究所紀要に投稿予定である。
