本研究は、ユーザが画像データセットの探索空間を編集することで対話的に検索結果を改善していく対話処理の開発を目指している．この課題における技術的課題は、画像に基づく画像類似度と検索目的に基づく画像類似度が一致しない、画像データセット内を探索しながら画像を収集する対話処理が十分でないことがあげられる．本研究では、１）探索空間モデルの可視化、２）探索空間モデル編集の自由度向上・自動化、３）大規模な画像データセットへの対応、の３つの課題に取り組んでいる．今年度は昨年度に引き続き、1）に対応する課題として「動的な集合データの可視化」、２）および３）に対応する課題として「画像内容に基づく探索と単語に基づく探索を統合した探索システム」を検討した．第一の「動的な集合データの可視化」は、評価実験デザインの見直し、データの視認性に関わるパラメータ調整、実験データの拡充を行った上でユーザ評価を再実施し、国際論文誌IEEE Transaction of Visualization and Computer Graphics(TVCG)に投稿した．本投稿はmajor revisionで返却され、現在は、再投稿に向けて改訂を進めている．第二の研究課題である「画像内容に基づく探索と単語に基づく探索を統合した画像探索システム」では、実サービスからデータセットを選定・収集し、大規模データセットに対応するシステム改善を行った．また、既存システムとの比較評価実験を実施し、提案システムが、探索対象カテゴリの理解を向上することに定量的・定性的に効果があることを確認した．この成果を、Visualization and Data Analysis(VDA)、インタラクティブシステムとソフトウェアに関するワークショップ(WISS)で口頭発表を行った．また、東京大学から特許を出願した．．

This study aims to compile the exploration space of the image processing system, improve the search results of the image processing system, and provide guidance for the development of image processing system. The technical problem of this subject is that the similarity between images and images is the same as that between images and images. The second research topic is "Image content base exploration, language base exploration, integration of image exploration system". The comparative evaluation of existing problems is carried out, and the quantitative and qualitative results are confirmed. The results, Visualization and Data Analysis(VDA), and software development (WISS) are presented. The University of Tokyo has a special permission to visit.
