项目摘要

最終年度は、博士論文「歌舞伎鳴物における伝承と変遷　―近現代における能楽手法の手配リ・演出―」（2018年4月末提出）のとりまとめに重点を置いた。論文は芸談・雑誌記事等の分析から近現代の状況を捉え直したうえで、出囃子・陰囃子双方における手配リ（音楽構成）の多様性や傾向の変遷を明らかにし、聴覚面から伝承と史的変遷に迫るものである。音楽面の検討としては、第2年次（平成28年度）に引き続き、国立劇場視聴室をはじめとする諸機関で公演記録を閲覧し、舞台進行と密接にかかわる「劇音楽としての陰囃子」の領域の分析を進めた。蓄積された成果は、付帳に記録されない音楽表現のレベルに見いだされる多様性や変遷を具体的に示すものとなった。1年次から継続してきた「舞踊音楽としての出囃子」の分析の成果とともに、曲名や約束事のみで語られてきた伝承の実態把握を進めた。歴史面の検討としては、修士論文において言説調査から明治以後の変遷を論じているほか、これを発展させた論文を第1年次（平成27年度）に発表している。先に述べた音楽分析の進展をふまえ、これらの成果のなかで見出された重要な時期・人物関係を捉え直し、博士論文の第1部として改稿を進めた。このことは、不明瞭だった「現行伝承」に至る変遷の推移を、大まかな形ではあるが音楽分析とは別の角度から裏付けることに繋がった。博士論文の執筆に注力したため、成果発表の件数は相対的に少なくなったが、7月にアイルランドで開催されたInternational Council for Traditional Music(ICTM)では、陰囃子の音楽演出の変遷について口頭発表を行った。また、12月の歌舞伎学会では、同じく陰囃子の伝承とかかわりの深い劇書『演劇拍子記』をめぐる共同発表を行い、とくに音楽内容の詳細にかかわるトピックを担当した。
