项目摘要

本年度は，グラフ信号処理におけるグラフ周波数領域上のフィルタリングの計算の効率化について主に研究を行った．グラフ信号処理におけるグラフ周波数領域上でのフィルタリングでは，大規模疎行列の固有値の縮退が必要であり，その計算には膨大な計算時間を要する．昨年度までに，応用数学で発展してきた多項式理論を応用することで，その固有値の縮退に要する時間を削減した．しかし，行列の固有値の縮退のみを考慮するのでは不十分である．なぜならば，与えられた行列が非対称行列の場合は，その固有値が複素数となる場合があるからである．一般に複素数を考慮した計算は複雑になる場合が多いため，非対称行列に対しては固有値の縮退を使用した処理は好ましくない．その問題を解決するために行列の特異値の縮退が用いられる．与えられた行列の特異値は全て実数になることが知られており，計算を行うことが非常に容易になる．しかし，行列の固有値の縮退と同様に，特異値の縮退には膨大な計算時間を要する．本年度は，多項式近似理論を応用し特異値分解の計算の効率化を主に行った．その理論と実験結果をまとめた論文が信号処理系のトップジャーナルに位置するIEEE Transactions on Signal Processingに採録されており，月間論文ダウンロード数も度々上位に上がるほどのインパクトであった．
