项目摘要

本年度は、言語論的な研究と身体論的な研究の二つの側面から、双極性障害の一人称的視点について探究した。言語論的な研究においては、言語のやりとりの本質を一種の贈与だとみる新たな言語観を提唱し、この観点から双極性障害当事者を取り巻く社会的相互作用の特異なあり方を明らかにすることを目的とした。本年度は、そもそもこの「贈与としての言語」という見方がどのような立場であり、他の言語観とどのように異なるのかについて検討を行うことを中心に考察を進めて行った。贈与としての言語観は、現代プラグマティズムにおける言語論を受け継いだ言語論である。また、昨年度まで行ってきたような現象学的な研究と異なり、この言語論は三人称的な観点から言語を捉えるものであり、社会哲学など、新たな理論的枠組みを必要とした。身体論的な側面からの研究は、当研究者の吐き気の体験から端を発した研究である。吐き気についての医学的な原因は、必ずしも感染症や消化器官などの機能不全などには限られず、眼精疲労からくる偏頭痛や広場恐怖などといった精神障害からくるものなど、明確な内科的・外科的原因を含まないものも多い。この研究では、吐き気に関与する心身の両義的な役割について、研究者自身の一人称的な経験を元に記述していった。吐き気についての研究では、メルロ=ポンティの『知覚の現象学』やベルグソンの『物質と記憶』といった文献が参考になった。こうした、身体感覚と精神状態との相互作用というテーマは、双極性障害という身体感覚の著しい変化をしばしば含む精神障害においても応用可能であると考えられる。
