项目摘要

最終年度は本研究の主要な関心である預言者詩人の社会の教導的役割に焦点を当て、文学と大亡命の政治との関係について研究を進めた。受難者としてのポーランドという強固なセルフイメージを形成することとなった文化史上の重要作品として1832年のミツキェーヴィチの『祖霊祭第三部』と『ポーランド民族とポーランド巡礼の書』が知られる。本研究では同年にミツキェーヴィチが発表した声明文で述べられたキリスト教の『殉教録』を模した受難録作成計画を分析し、新たな視点から上記二作を捉えなおした。この時期のミツキェーヴィチが集団的記憶における民族史の受難化を体系的に進めていたことを明らかにした。また当時の受難に関わる政治思想は特に過激で翌年末にはすでに考えを改めていたにもかかわらず、声明文含め32年に書かれた詩人の言葉が現在も政治的に利用されている状況を明らかにしたことも重要な成果である。アダム・ミツキェーヴィチ大学とフライブルク大学共催の国際学会で報告し、ミツキェーヴィチ研究者はじめ20世紀ポーランド文学研究者らと意見交換を行った。さらに、ポーランド語論文に纏めた。上記の結果を踏まえ前年度に進めたモフナツキ研究を論文に纏め直し発表した。さらに1832年のミツキェーヴィチの文学・政治活動の亡命社会おける影響、反響について研究を進めた。詩人のパリ登場前後に見られた受難のモチーフを比較するため、レレヴェルの「国民委員会」と最大の左翼グループ「ポーランド民主協会」の政治文書を精査した。その結果、詩人登場以前に書かれた文書にも受難を肯定的に捉え摂理主義的な表現が現れるものの、受難と理想の将来をメシアニズム的な因果関係で結びつける表現は見られなかった。「民主協会」は詩人が形成した受難のイメージを彼らの理念に合わせ修正、利用しており、受難の言説が政治理念にかかわらず広く大亡命の社会で機能していたことを明らかにした。
