项目摘要

ランバ語のテンス・アスペクト(以下TA)体系の再検討を行った。ランバ語にはほかのバントゥ諸語と同じく過去と未来に複数の時間区分があるが，その区分の境界線はまだ明らかにされていなかった。ランバ語の時間の時間区分は，過去テンスは発話当日と昨日以前，未来テンスは発話当日と明日以降のそれぞれ2つに分けられる。また，Doke (1922，1938) ではImmediate PastとされていたTA接辞a-と基本語尾-aからなる形式(a-形式)は単なる過去を表す形式ではなく，発話時よりも前に起こった状態変化の結果が発話時にも続いていること，あるいは発話時よりも前に起こった出来事が発話時と関連性があることを表すAnteriorであることも明らかにした。当日過去を表すほかの形式にはa-形式が持つAnteriorの情報は表せない。ランバ語にはAnteriorを表す形式がもうひとつある。TA接辞li-と完了語尾-ileからなる形式(li-形式)である。a-形式が「変化」を表すことに重きを置いているのに対し、li-形式は「継続」を表すことに重きを置いている。li-形式は，単なる状態も表すことができる。状態を表す形式はほかにもあり，これはTA接辞ゼロ，完了語尾-ileで構成される(ゼロ形式)。ゼロ形式は，一時的な状態も本質的な状態も表すことができる。ゼロ形式は共起できる動詞に制限があるため，それらの動詞で状態を表す場合にはli-形式が使われる。つまり，ゼロ形式とli-形式には類似性と補完性が指摘できる。ゼロ形式の表すことができる本質的な状態というのは，出来事の成立が時間の流れに左右されないという点で，ほかのTA形式とは異なる。同じ性質はli-形式にもある。出来事の成立が時間の流れによる影響を受けるかという視点は，叙述類型論によるものである。今後この観点からもランバ語のTA体系を分析する必要がある。
