项目摘要

今年度の研究成果の位置づけとして、「音韻論の根拠と形態論の内部構造を用いて、主要部とアクセントの関係から出発し、それによって諸々の音韻・形態インターフェースの問題を解決したという点では斬新と言えよう。また、理論的な貢献について、先行研究で見られる「左側の要素がアクセントを決める」と、「右側の要素がアクセントを決める」、「どちらの要素も保持される」といった厳密な定義に欠ける概念を再考し、形態構造とプロソディーで一貫した説明が得られることが挙げられる。音韻論と形態論のインターフェースの問題に迫り、複合構造はどのように写像されるかについて探求するのも今年度の研究目的の一つである。音韻階層のなかで、複合構造がどのようにマッピングされるかについて、一連の先行研究と異なり、形態的複雑性が複合語アクセントに関与するという仮説を立て、事例を挙げながら証明した。また、形態的に複雑な構造はすべて語ではなく句として写像されるという新たな提案と分析を提示した。日本語の複合語アクセントと主要部の相関関係の裏付けとなるのが、いくつかのケーススタディによって得た結果である。「同位構造を持つ複合語」や「左側主要部と右側主要部の違い」、「音韻的長さに関する違い」などを通し、アクセントは複合構造内の形態的主従関係で予測できるという結論に至った。また、同位複合語は形態的主要部とアクセントの関係から分析し、これらの複合語は主要部が二つあるのではなく、左側主要部である可能性が高いことが判明した。このことは同位複合語では連濁が起きない原因だったのではないかと考えられる。連濁は右側要素が主要部の複合構造でしか起きにくいため、同位複合語に適用しないことも予測できる。そして、音韻的長さもアクセントに影響する要因だと主張した。
