本研究の目的は、第二次世界大戦前後に朝鮮半島出身者が沖縄に定住し、社会から忘却され、沖縄返還が実現に至る過程で発見されるまでの経緯について、冷戦体制下における米国の沖縄の排他的統治が韓国と沖縄の関係に与えた影響に焦点を当て、明らかにすることである。2020年度は、以下のような研究を実施した。①韓国政府が1975年に沖縄県に韓国人慰霊塔を建立した意図及び経緯について、韓国の外交文書に加え、慰霊塔建立に関わった個人や韓国民団などの動向についても新聞や関連文書をもとに検討し、成果を2020年7月の朝鮮史研究会関西部会7月例会で報告した。成果の一部は、沖本富貴子『沖縄戦に動員された朝鮮人―軍人・軍属を中心にして―』（アジェンダ・プロジェクト、2020年）に寄稿し、さらに2021年3月に同志社コリア研究叢書４『植民地主義、冷戦から考える日韓関係』に論文として発表した。②在沖コリアンの起源や戦後の状況については直接言及できなかったが、2018年に提出した博士論文を、採用期間中に得た新たな知見や問題意識に基づいてまとめ直し、その過程で概要を2020年9月のThe AAS in Asia2020において発表した。さらに、同年12月に『沖縄返還と東アジア冷戦体制―琉球／沖縄の帰属・基地問題の変容』（人文書院、2020年）として出版した。同書の韓国語版の出版も予定されているため、翻訳文の確認や写真の収集作業なども行った。当年度の課題であった在沖コリアンの起源については、COVID-19の影響により、予定していた調査を実施することが不可能となり、収集済み史料やインターネットを通して収集可能な史料の調査・分析、国会図書館関西館等での資料調査を実施したが、今年度の課題は十分に進展させることができなかった。しかし、韓国語版の序文に調査結果を反映させ、より充実した内容にすることを目指している。

The purpose of this study is to explore the process of Korean Peninsula origin's impact on stability, social forgetting, and impact return before and after the Second World War, and to explore the exclusive governance of Korean Peninsula under the cold war system. In 2020, the following research was carried out.① The Korean government established the Korean People's Liberation Tower in 1975, and the Korean diplomatic documents were added. The establishment of the Korean People's Liberation Tower was related to the movement of the Korean People's Liberation Army. The news was related to the documents. The results were reported at the July regular meeting of the Korean History Research Association in July 2020. The first part of the work was published in March 2021 in Nantenzhu Okimoto's "Korean People, Soldiers and Military Families in the Center for Korean War Mobilization"(March 2020). The paper was published in March 2021 in the Gay Society Research Series 4 "Plantation, Cold War and Japan-South Korea Relations."② In the context of the origin and status of the impact of science and technology, The AAS in Asia2020 will be presented in September 2020. In December of the same year,"The Return of Okinawa to the East and the Cold War System-The Problem of Ryukyu/Okinawa's Belonging to the Base"(Humanities College, 2020) was published. The publication of the Korean version of the same book is scheduled to be completed in 2010. This year's topic is on the origin of COVID-19, the impact of COVID-19, the implementation of predetermined investigations, the collection of historical data, the collection of possible historical data, the implementation of data surveys, such as the National Assembly Library Kansai Museum, etc. This year's topic is very advanced. The results of the survey of the preface of the Korean version are reflected in the contents of the survey.
