项目摘要

本研究の目的は，乳幼児期の道具使用と言語との発達連関に着目して，初期言語がどれほど品詞構造によらず分化多能性に富むかを検証し，その可塑的な形成・分化過程を解明することである。今年度は，以下の４つの側面から研究を進めた。①名詞的な語の意味分化に関する実験：データ解析の方法論に関する研究成果を，赤ちゃん研究の国際会議vICISにて報告した。さらに，この内容を洗練させ，機械学習の手法も加えた成果は，Infancy誌に掲載された。方法論的整備が完了したため，18～23ヶ月児にとってのモノ語の意味がどのように発達的に変化するかを解析した。その結果は国際会議APS Virtual Conventionにて報告予定である (採択済)。この研究成果を論文にまとめ，現在投稿準備を進めている。幼児初期における名詞的な語の意味分化の過程，および意味分化がその後の語彙発達に及ぼす影響についてのこれまでの研究成果を博士論文としてまとめ，京都大学より博士号 (人間・環境学) を授与された。②道具に関する語概念の分化に関する実験：コロナウイルス感染拡大に伴い，データ収集を予定より早期に打ち切った。現在解析を進めており，論文投稿に向けた打合せを重ねている。③母子相互作用の縦断的発達に関する調査：コロナウイルスの感染拡大および協力家庭の事情に伴って，データ収集が継続困難となった。現在，部分的に得られたデータの予備解析に着手している。代替方策として，母子相互作用の既存データを利用した解析ができるよう計画を進めている。④発達検査場面の動画を用いた定量的指標の抽出・解析に関する実験：着手可能なテーマから研究を開始している。その成果は，Occupational Therapy International誌に掲載された。現在，作業療法の国際会議WFOTへの発表にむけて投稿準備を進めている。
