本研究課題の目的は，何らかの行為を行った際のポストディクション（後付け）として，自己感が発生している可能性を実験として検証することである。身体と運動に自己感の起源を求める近年の認知神経科学および実験心理学研究では，自己感が行為に先立つと想定していることが多いため，その前提がどれだけ妥当であるかを検討しようとするものである。なぜなら，いわゆる自己感は，誤差の検出時（予測誤差あるいは多感覚間の照合誤差）に初めて，損なわれたものとしてしかこれらの感覚は体験できない，とも従来から議論されていたからである。そこで，自発的なキー押し行為に先立って観察される脳波の収束過程を検討することで，ポストディクティブな自己感が「先行する自身の脳活動への後からのラベル付け」である可能性を引き続き検討した。取得済みの行動データおよび脳波データから，キー押しタイミングを０時点と定義したデータを作成し，参加者および条件の繰り返しをまとめた試行集団データセットに落とし込んだ。このデータセットに対して，我々が開発してきた状態空間上での遷移を可視化する手法（脳波マイクロステートを基底とし，全脳の神経活動状態を１時点ごとに状態空間上に布置する）を適用した。その結果，特定の周波数帯域を見ることで，０時点（キー押し時点）に向って収束していく脳活動が捉えられる可能性が示唆されたため，引き続き，条件ごとの差分や，別のデータセットと比較する解析を行っていく。
