项目摘要

本年度の成果としてまず挙げるべきは、「院政期絵巻における「嗚呼」なるものと後白河院」（筒井忠仁編『仏師と絵師』所収。思文閣出版より刊行）と、「《信貴山縁起絵巻》における宋代山水表現の受容をめぐって」（『空間と境界』〈大阪大谷大学歴史文化学科調査研究報告書３号〉所収）の２本の論文を発表したことである。前者では、《放屁合戦絵巻》や《彦火々出見尊絵巻》等の原本が現存しない作品を含む院政期絵巻のうちに見られる「嗚呼」なるものを探り、これらが絵巻の享受者である後白河院たちにとっていかなる意味を有していたのかを論じた。この論文は、本研究を遂行するにあたっての一階梯として重要な意味を持つものであろう。後者では、《信貴山縁起絵巻》における宋代山水表現受容の様相について、画面の分析を通じて論じた。本稿において行った分析と考察は、標題作のみならず、院政期における宋代文物受容のあり方についても何らかの提言をなし得る可能性があるものと思われ、これも本研究の成果として位置づけられるであろう。上記に加えて、仏教文学会大会シンポジウム「葛城二十八宿の仏教文学史的環境」において、「《神於寺縁起絵巻》の美術史的位置について」と題する口頭発表を行ったことも、本年度の成果として挙げられる。標題作は院政期絵巻の作品ではないものの、原本が世界各地に散逸してしまったものであり、今回の報告では、主に神於寺所蔵の模本によって、標題作の美術史的位置について論じることを試みた。この試みも、原本が失われた作品を美術史上に定位することを目的の一つとする、本研究の一環と位置づけられるであろう。また、原本が現存しない院政期絵巻の作品の一つである《勝絵》の模本を複数調査できたことも、本年度の重要な成果として挙げられる。
