Uncertainty, FDI and firm adjustment

The current research mainly analyzes how macroeconomic uncertainty in the destination market affects foreign direct investment (FDI hereafter),and explores the possible mechanism of multinational enterprises' (MNEs hereafter) adjustment.In the past calender year, I spent most of the time on data cleaning and matching of both parent- and affiliate- firm level data.In the meantime, I also digged into the existing literature and made an attempt to narrow down the research questions, I came up with several research topics, ranging from the policy change of minimum wage in China to repatriation tax change in Japan.I attended several workshops to further exchange the ideas with the other colleagues.
