AY2021: I have constructed a search and matching model that can account for the heterogeneity in the efficiency of job search. This is done by allowingfor duration-dependent job search efficiency for unemployed workers.AY2022: I have obtained preliminary results based on the model estimation using the simulated method of moments. I am also working on extending the model to be able to separately study the impact of the UI history and the genuine duration dependence on job search outcomes and the macroeconomy. I also started working on counterfactual analyses based on the baseline model.
