2008年より全国で特定健康診査（以下、特定健診）が開始されたが、その受診率は低迷しており、向上にむけた対策が急がれる。本研究では、その解決手法として「ナッジ」（行動経済学の介入概念で、行動科学の知見に基づき人が望ましい行動を自発的に取れるよう促すアプローチ）に注目し、特定健診の未受診者への受診勧奨通知メッセージにナッジの要素を付加し、受診率向上への効果を検証することを目的とした。ナッジメッセージの効果を検証するため、無作為化比較試験を実施し、コロナ禍特有の感染不安を和らげるメッセージを発信したものの、その効果は大きくないことを明らかにした。一方で、複数回の督促は受診率向上への効果があることを明らかにした。計画では、健診対象者への定性的調査を予定していたが、コロナ禍もあり、実施ができておらず、研究期間を延長して実施する予定である。
