本研究では、アジアの低中所得国がSDGｓの人産・新生児死亡率の目標値に到達するために、母子継続ケアの達成率を現状よりどの程度改善する必要があるかの予測モデルの構築を目的とする。本研究で実施することは、SDGｓ目標値の妊産婦・新生児死亡率に減少させるには母子継続ケアの達成率をどの程度改善するべきか、その母子継続ケアの達成率に至るには、医療サービスへのアクセスをどの程度改善するべきかの２つの予測モデルを開発する。2022年度は、データの入手、母子継続ケアと医療サービスへのアクセスの分析を主な計画内容としている。具体的な実施内容としては、アメリカ国際開発庁と当該国が共同で収集する人口保健調査（Demographic Health Survey）データよりアジアの低中所得国の女性のアンケート調査データ、調査地域が記録されたGPS（衛星測位システム）データの入手である。データ収集を行った結果、SDGsの対象となる2016年以降のアンケート調査データとGPSデータがある国は、インド、カンボジア他8カ国であった。また、人口保健調査データの他に、母子に関係する調査データとして、ユニセフの他項目クラスター調査（Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys）も収集した。その後これらのデータを統計解析ソフトに移行し、記述的分析を行っている。これにより回答者の母子継続ケアの達成状況をコミュニティレベルで集計・分析することができる。以上のように、2022年度の計画は概ね予定通りに順調に推移している。
