项目摘要

本研究の目的は、スピノザ様態概念の倫理学的射程を、思想生成史的研究及びストア哲学との比較によって明らかにすることである。一年目は、これまでのスピノザの初期思想とストア哲学との比較研究から明らかになった点を整理し、スピノザ協会年報『スピノザーナ』第18号において発表した。本研究において、スピノザ初期思想にはストア哲学と近い発想が見られること、スピノザが実際にセネカやキケロのどのテクストから影響を受けている可能性があるか、さらに当時のスピノザがストア哲学をどのような仕方で受容できたかに関し、一つの解釈を示した。また2022年12月にオンライン開催された『スピノザと近代ドイツ』の合評会にコメンテーターとして参加し、17世紀から18世紀のドイツにおけるスピノザ受容に関し、専門の研究者らと討論を行った。この討論から、近代ドイツにおけるスピノザ哲学の否定的な受容（ヴォルフ、ヤコービ、カント）は、自由についてのそれぞれの哲学者の考え方の違いに起因するところが大きく、否定的受容から肯定的受容（ゲーテ、ヘルダー）の転換には、当時の自然学の発展が深く関わっていることが明らかになった。近代ドイツにおけるスピノザ受容が、どのような観点から否定的なものから肯定的なものへと転換したかを探ることは、スピノザの様態概念が倫理学的にどのような積極的な意義を持つか探る本研究に大きな示唆を与えるものである。一年目は、人間を様態とみなすスピノザの考え方の特異性を浮き彫りにするために、特に近代ドイツにおけるスピノザ受容に関し、広く文献を収集・整理した。
